FINCH BAY ECO HOTEL The Eco Hotel Finch Bay features environmentally friendly materials and use of natural light with large windows, beachfront access, large pool and outdoor Jacuzzi. The charming Eco Hotel Finch Bay - named after the famous Darwin's Finches abundant in the surroundings - is just steps from the beach on a private seaside location, surrounded by mangroves. During low tide, the intertidal pools are great places to observe the intricate marine world of the islands, as well as feeding shore birds. Located on Santa Cruz Island at Punta Estrada, across the bay from the town of Puerto Ayora, the eco hotel is situated in a quiet location, with only pedestrian and bicycle circulation - there are no cars in the neighborhood. Its secluded white-coralline beach makes this property the only one with beach access in the entire island of Santa Cruz.
The Eco Hotel Finch Bay accommodates 42 guests with 21 state rooms (queen-size beds and twin beds available), each with private facilities, air conditioning and unlimited water supply, as the hotel has its own desalinization plant. The hotel's strict environmental practices contribute to the island's sustainability. The entire infrastructure, as well as the activities, are totally oriented to a concept of true ecotourism in a pristine natural environment.
Delicious healthy international and Galpagos-inspired menus are prepared daily by our chef, using the freshest ingredients.
Eco Hotel Finch Bay is easily accessible. After flying for just two hours from Quito, in Ecuador's mainland, guests arrive to the airport of Baltra in the Galpagos and then take overland transportation to Puerto Ayora.
